Thanks to dedicated volunteers, Stockton Lake maintains its reputation as one of the region’s finest lakes, cherished for its clarity and purity. Chicken Stampede- Each year, on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, the Stockton Lions Club gathers on the public square. Hosting the Chicken Stampede, a significant charitable fundraiser, they serve up a delicious meal of roasted chicken and picnic-style sides. Also available for purchase are pork sandwiches and a variety of homemade pies. This cookout tradition dates back to the early 1970s and is from 11am to early afternoon.
Black Walnut Festival- Annually, during the last full weekend of September, the Stockton Lake Sertoma Club hosts the Black Walnut Festival, a cherished autumn tradition. Featuring over 100 craft and food vendors, diverse musical acts and band performances, a lively parade, thrilling carnival attractions, a vibrant car show, and much more!
