Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks supports the health and well-being of children and families in the region through two main programs. The Ronald McDonald Houses offer a “home-away-from-home” for families with seriously ill children in Springfield. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, or “Tooth Truck,” provides dental care and education to at-risk children in schools. Additionally, the Healthy Smiles Academy supports daily tooth-brushing for children. 

Since 1938, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield has provided a secure environment for kids before and after school. The Club is dedicated to helping Springfield’s youth build bright futures. They offer a variety of programs, including Character & Leadership, Sports & Recreation, The Arts, Health & Wellness, Education, Workforce Readiness, and Mental Health support. 

Ozarks Food Harvest, the Feeding America food bank serving southwest Missouri, partners with 270 hunger-relief organizations across 28 counties. Each month, they provide assistance to nearly 70,000 individuals, distributing more than 20 million meals annually. In 2023, the organization received its twelfth consecutive Four-Star rating from Charity Navigator. Additionally, they have been honored as Small Business of the Year by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and Nonprofit of the Year by the Springfield Business Journal. 

The Diaper Bank of the Ozarks collects and distributes diapers to families facing financial challenges through its network of partner agencies. Diapers are sourced from local drives, donations by manufacturers and retailers, and purchases made with donated funds. Partnering with over 100 agencies throughout the Ozarks, they help connect families in need with the closest agency to obtain diapers. 

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit thrift store and donation center that offers home improvement items at significantly lower prices. By selling these items to the public, the ReStore raises funds to support Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, Missouri. The funds raised support Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, Missouri, helping to build strength, stability, and independence through housing in Greene County. 

The Springfield Dream Center offers various programs aimed at helping families achieve lasting stability. Each program provides immediate support or future hope for those in need. All services are free and available to qualified individuals. Programs include STEP Classes, Community Care, DC Academy, Senior Box Distribution, Diaper Distribution, RISE Classes, and North Point Church.
